Creating a Space Fit For A Princess

Nursery Fit For a Princess

This stunning room has all the elements that make it the perfect fit for a little princess.  Whenever we feature photos from this beautiful room that Amanda from @three.blushing.roses has put together our audience can’t get enough of the photos.  So we would love to introduce you to the very talented mum behind the room and share with you some of her inspiration and styling tips.

Amanda is a mum of three beautiful girls who has a passion for both styling and photography.  She admits that her creativity “sparks passion for both, but the photography definitely helps me to showcase my styling and inspires me to come up with new ideas.”

Amanda’s styling in this featured room is both feminine and vintage with a touch of modern. Her use of the colour pink makes for a magically feminine space perfect as the bedroom for her youngest daughter Chanelle.  Amanda is devoted to supporting small business; ‘I love supporting handmade and was in love with styled children’s bedrooms using all small business products which inspired me to create this space for Chanelle.’

With Chanelle being the youngest daughter or three, Amanda has learnt a great deal about styling a room since having her first daughter at 17.  Experience is invaluable as we progress through the motherhood journey.  She says, “wish I knew what wasn’t that necessary and wish I knew of small handmade businesses rather than only big department stores”.

When asked how she makes sure all the pieces work so well together, Amanda’s advice is to adhere to a colour theme and chooses products that she adores. “I have a colour theme of pinks, gold’s and neutrals so anything that fits in with that, that we adore usually goes nicely.“

When asked about her favourite aspect of the room Amanda couldn’t go past the colours.  That coupled with the fact that this room is full of beautiful toys for Chanelle to play with. Chanelle’s favourite items in this stunning room are her ‘instruments and dolly bed’.  We feel very privileged to have our Nester and Cub dolls bed treasured in this beautiful space.  Amanda says of the dolls bassinet:

I love how life like it is From it’s raised height to the little mattress inside it is so perfect for role play and the perfect height for my daughter to reach into.

I also love its unique design and knowing it is handmade makes it all that more special.“

  2. Consider the colour of your walls and carpet when picking a colour theme
